Yield Optimization Intelligence

Was this run actually low, given its raw material?

The manufacturing problem

Two runs of the same product on the same line finish a point and a half apart, and the morning meeting cannot say whether that is normal. A standard yield set at budget time is met in a good month and missed in a poor one, without telling anyone whether the line or the raw material moved.

What Yieldstem is designed to analyze

Actual output for each run against an expected range specific to its product, line and raw-material characteristics. Comparable historical runs are retrieved so that the comparison can be inspected, along with where the gap arose in the process.

Why it matters operationally

Attention moves from the runs that look low to the runs that are low for their conditions. A poor fruit lot performing as expected stops consuming investigation time, and a good lot underperforming stops going unnoticed.

The decision it supports

Which deviations deserve an engineer's time this week, and which recovery opportunities are large and repeatable enough to justify a process change.

Start with the problem that costs you most.

Few operations need all of this at once. If one of these questions is already being argued about in your plant, it is a practical place to begin the conversation.
